The Red Headed Stranger is touring once again to the delight of the fans. The Red Headed Stranger tends to draw lots of cowboys with big hats and wide belt buckles. In his seventies, his trademark nasal voice is as charming as ever. He might even sing "Crazy". He's in his 70s and still touring with some of the best in the business including Bob Dylan, and Dave Matthews. His music continues to expand to a variety of genres including blues , folk , jazz , pop , and reggae .
His 2002 album features songs written and/or sung by Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20. Lee Ann Womack collaborates in the song "Mendocino County Line". Alison Krauss, Bonnie Raitt, Kid Rock, and Sheryl Crow were all guests on The Great Divide. Willie collaborated with Toby Keith in 2002's "Beer for My Horses". He has appeared with an array of artists like Asleep at the Wheel , Julio Iglesias and Kurt Nilsen.
