History
California's Asian immigrants started arriving 13 to 15 thousand years ago. Fortune hunters searched for gold in the 1850s. By 1899 there were almost 1.5 million people.
No one knows when the 1st people arrived in Califiornia. There are some 30 or so tribes that called California home.
