The Raptors made it to the playoffs in 2007 but were eliminated by New Jersey in the 1st round. Perhaps 2009 will be there year to go all the way.

Hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They hold the distinction of being the only NBA team based in Canada.

With their 1st overall 2006 pick Andrea Bargnani and general manager Benetton Treviso the Raptors proved to be a force to be reckoned with. The trade of Charlie Villanueva to the Milwaukee Bucks was controversial but yielded PG TJ Ford giving forward Chris Bosh a chance to show his metal. Rounding up Anthony Parker as a shooting guard , Jorge Garbajosa , and Indiana Pacers' guard Fred Jones helped solidify the team.
