History: The Truck Series concept started in 93 when off road racers wanted a wider audience. They made a prototype and premiered in the 94 Daytona 500 followed by 4 demo races. The 1st race was at Mesa Marin Raceway and the others were held at Portland Speedway, Saugus Speedway, and Tucson Raceway Park. Originally the series was known as SuperTruck Series.
