His real name is David Adkins but the world knows him as Sinbad. Sinbad got his big break when he won Star Search against Dennis Miller. He went on to small screen appearing on A Different World and the Redd Foxx Show. He went to the big screen in Necessary Roughness. Erroneous death report - His death was erroneously reported in March 2007. Even Lionle Richie called with condolences. Sinbad remarked , "I wish that people would've called me back like this when I was alive. I gotta die more often. Seriously, my death is gonna be my comeback."
