History
The Giants have a history of 80+ seasons starting in 1925. Tim Mara owned the team when the NFL was a mere 5 years old and kept it his entire life. In 1959 the sons inherited the team. The Giants have seven NFL championships including 3 Super Bowls.
It took the Giants just 3 years to finish with the best record and the NFL title. In 8 of 14 years starting with 1933 the Giants went to the the NFL championship game. They won a couple of these games. It was not until 1956 that they won another title. The 1956 team had Pro football greats Frank Gifford, Sam Huff, and Roosevelt Brown. The Giants made the league championship game 5 of 6 years from 1958 to 1963 but couldn't bring home a victory. The Giants-Colts game of 1958 brought a lot of interest to the game where they fought a hard battle but lost in overtime 23-17.
