Der Rosenkavalier Tickets
Richard Strauss' beloved comic opera Der Rosenkavalier opened in 1911. The show was a success in 1911 and is a must see today. There have been several versions of the show produced. The German spoken in the libretto utilizes the archaic version the nobility spoke plus the more familiar version. Both are set in the time period of the play.
In 1944 the play evolved into the Rosenkavalier Suite. The Suite starts with the opera's prelude and closes with a Waltz. Note that the 1911 critics were not fond of the music at the time.
