Alternative rock band extraordinaire, Coldplay, is on the road. Their album Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends hit the top of the UK charts in a mere 3 days shattering all records. They have a new album scheduled for late 2009 including a track with Kylie Minogue.
Coldplay is Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman & Will Champion.
They achieved international success with the hit "Yellow". Their album Parachutes was nominated for the Mercury Prize and their 2nd album A Rush of Blood to the Head won a number of awards including the 2002 NME Album of the Year.
Chris Martin & Johnny Buckland started the band in 1996. Their early material is often compared to Radiohead & U2. In later releases their music is influenced by the likes of Blur, George Harrison, and Johnny Cash.
