The Grammy winning Tempts are one of the most successful Motown groups. The Temps mix of adult contemporary, doo-wop, disco, funk, R&B, & soul kept the group in the limelight almost 50 years. They started out as the Elgins in 1960. The Temptations are to soul what the Beatles were to rock.
