Progressive rocker Alan Parsons started off as an engineer on major productions like Let It Be & Dark Side of the Moon. Eric Woolfson had bigger ideas and wanted to produce an album based on Edgar Allan Poe. Together they became the Alan Parson Project. Their music is sometimes classified as pop rock.
