Trans-Siberian Orchestra Tickets

Trans-Siberian Orchestra (often abbreviated as TSO) is a rock/metal orchestra founded by Paul O’Neill, Robert Kinkel, and Jon Oliva in 1996. It is best known for its remakes of classical Christmas songs.

Biography

Trans-Siberian Orchestra was founded in 1996 in New York City by composers Paul O’Neill and Robert Kinkel, and Savatage lead singer Jon Oliva.

O’Neill had managed and produced rock bands including Aerosmith, Humble Pie and Scorpions, later writing for and producing Savatage, where he began working with Kinkel and Oliva. The concept for a band playing Christmas carols in a rock opera style was not received warmly by the industry, but quickly proved a success with adults as well as young people.

In the recording studio, Trans-Siberian Orchestra uses a full 60-piece orchestra and a choir. As of 2004, their touring band included 14 vocalists, 14 musicians, and 2 narrators.

Christina Aguilera Tickets

Christina María Aguilera (born December 18, 1980, in Staten Island, New York but raised near Pittsburgh) is a singer and songwriter. She was signed to RCA Records after recording “Reflection” for the film Mulan, and her bubblegum pop-influenced debut album Christina Aguilera (1999) was a critical and commercial success: it produced four hit singles, including “Genie in a Bottle”, and helped Aguilera win a Grammy Award. A Latin pop album and a Christmas LP released during this period also sold strongly. In 2001, she participated in collaboration projects for Ricky Martin’s Sound Loaded album and the Moulin Rouge! soundtrack.

Aguilera took creative control over her second studio album Stripped (2002), which produced the Hip-hop-influenced “Dirrty” and the award-winning “Beautiful”. She contributed to several other artists’ songs in 2004 and 2005. Her third studio album Back to Basics (2006), which was preceded by the hit single “Ain’t No Other Man”, included elements of soul, jazz and blues music and was released to high sales and positive critical reception.

Brooks & Dunn tickets

The undisputed kings of the ’90s’ line-dancing craze, Brooks & Dunn are not only the biggest-selling duo in country music history, Brooks and Dunn have also sold more records than any other duo period, save for Simon & Garfunkel. The magical combination of Ronnie Dunn and “Kix” Brooks has made them one of the most popular country artists of the ’90s, and Brooks and Dunn were still going strong as the new millennium dawned. Brooks & Dunn issued their debut album, Brand New Man, in 1991, and it was an out-of-the-box smash. The title track, “My Next Broken Heart,” “Neon Moon,” and “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” all hit number one on the country charts, and the latter song in particular was an inescapable smash that helped kick-start the line-dancing fad that swept country bars across the nation. Brand New Man eventually went on to sell over five million copies. Leon Eric “Kix” Brooks (born in Shreveport, LA) and Ronnie Gene Dunn (born in Coleman, TX) arrived in Nashville from very different backgrounds. Arista executive Tim DuBois had a hunch that Brooks and Dunn would complement each other well, and Brooks and Dunn introduced the two and encouraged them to try writing and recording some demo songs together. When Brooks and Dunn heard the results, DuBois signed the newly minted Brooks & Dunn duo to a contract. Their commercial dominance has continued with hit after hit.

Bob Dylan tickets

Bob Dylan (born Robert Allen Zimmerman on May 24, 1941) is an American singer-songwriter, author, musician and poet who has been a major figure in popular music for five decades. Much of Dylan’s best known work is from the 1960s when he became an informal documentarian and reluctant figurehead of American unrest. Some of his songs, such as “Blowin’ in the Wind” and “The Times They Are a-Changin’”, became anthems of the anti-war and civil rights movements. Forty years later, his 2001 album “Love and Theft”, reached the top five on the charts in the U.S. and the UK. His latest studio album, Modern Times, released on August 29, 2006, became his first US #1 album in thirty years, making him the oldest living chart topper in history at the age of 65.

Dylan’s early lyrics incorporated politics, social commentary, philosophy and literary influences, defying existing pop music conventions and appealing widely to the counterculture of the time. While expanding and personalizing musical styles, he has shown steadfast devotion to many traditions of American song, from folk and country/blues to rock ‘n’ roll and rockabilly, to Celtic balladry, even jazz, swing and Broadway.

Dylan performs with the guitar, keyboard and harmonica. Backed by a changing lineup of musicians, he has toured steadily since the late 1980s on what has been dubbed the Never Ending Tour. He has also recently performed alongside other major artists, such as Paul Simon, Joan Baez, Tom Petty, Jack White, Eric Clapton, and Mark Knopfler. Although his contributions as performer and recording artist have been central to his career, his songwriting is generally held as his highest accomplishment.

His career accomplishments have been recognized with the Polar Music Prize, the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, Kennedy Center Honors, and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Nashville Songwriters and Songwriters Hall of Fame. He was listed as one of TIME Magazine’s 100 most influential people of the 20th century.
