History
The Redskins have over 1,000 games under their belt including 5 championships. Of the 5 championships 3 were Super Bowls and the other 2 predate the AF L-NFL merger – 1937 & 1942. They played in the 4 other championship games and 2 more Super Bowls. The Redskins have won three of their five Super Bowl appearances. Few teams have appeared in more Super Bowls.
Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans are a professional American football team based in Nashville, Tennessee.
History
The Titans started off as the Houston Oilers in 1960. They appear in the 1st 3 AFL championships and upset the NFL by signing Billy Cannon. Cannon along with George Blanda, Charlie Hennigan, Charlie Tolar, and Bob Talamini made the offense un-stoppable. They won the 1960,1961 & 1967 AFL championships. In 1962 they lost in double overtime. They managed to lure Willard Dewveall, a NFL player, to the team. This was unheard of at the time. Willard Dewveall would catch a 99 yard TD that year. The Oilers were a team of many 1sts and started playing in the 1st domed stadium , the Astrodome, in 1968. Prior to that they played at the University of Houston’s Jeppesen Stadium.

The Bucs have been a contender for most of the last decade, and won Super Bowl XXXVII at the end of the 2002 season.
History
Seattle Professional Football Inc. decided to pursue a NFL franchise in 1972. Two years later they got their franchise.
The name is a result of a name the team contest. John Thompson was hired as the GM in 1975 and he hired Jack Patera as the head coach. The expansion draft of 1976 allowed Seattle & Tampa to alternate picks for 39 rounds selecting unprotected players form the rest of the league. The also got the #2 overall pick in the draft and picked up Steve Niehaus. They played there 1st game in a pre-season matchup against the 49ers in their new Kingdome.
St. Louis Rams

The Rams began playing in 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio as a second incarnation of the previous Cleveland Rams team that was a charter member of the 1936-37 American Football League. Although the NFL granted membership to the same owner, this new NFL franchise technically became a separate entity since only four of the players (William “Bud” Cooper, Harry “The Horse” Mattos, Stan Pincura, Mike Sebastian) and none of the team’s personnel joined the new NFL team.

The Seahawks beat the Redskins convincingly in the Wildcard game and faced the Packers in last year’s playoffs..
The Seattle Seahawks are a professional American football team based in Seattle, Washington. They are currently members of the Western Division of the National Football Conference in the National Football League. The team, along with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, joined the NFL in 1976 as expansion teams.
San Francisco 49ers

The Niners are looking good this season. Alex Smith is maturing and Frank Gore is competing for a running position. Gore is expected to earn that $28 million he’s contracted for.
San Francisco has signed cornerback Nate Clements to fill in the defense. For the $80 million he’s getting, the 49-er’s expect big plays from him. Along with safety Michael Lewis, linebacker Colby Bockwoldt, inside linebacker Patrick Willis, and nose-tackle Aubrayo Franklin the defense should be stronger. On the offense they picked up Ashley Lelie and Offensive Tackle Joe Staley.

The Chargers are coming into the divisional playoffs after a convincing win over the Titans.
The San Diego Chargers are a professional American football team based in San Diego, California. They are currently members of the Western Division of the American Football Conference in the National Football League. Originally called the Los Angeles Chargers, the club began play in 1960 as a charter member of the American Football League. The club spent its first season in Los Angeles before moving to San Diego.
